Chlorine dioxide is a disinfection process, which - thanks to its multiple benefits – replaces chlorination in more and more application areas. Its
effect is stronger, and above all, it is independent of the water's pH value. Owing to its chemical properties, it does not form any chlorine
by-products. The longer half-life results in a better exposure capacity in the treated water. It is notable that in contrast to chlorine, chlorine
dioxide breaks down the biofilms – formed in the pipe systems and tanks, and thus undermines the appearance of Legionella.
